Mercedes C300 – Trending Right Now

That’s right! The 4-wheel toys we used to have in Nigeria are becoming old school and new school is taking over. I am referring to the vehicles on Nigerian roads. Brand new vehicles are still appearing, but they are in the 1% of the population, since currency devaluation is still killing the 99% of us.

Just yesterday, one American Dollar hit seven hundred Nigerian Naira. How does one explain that? Continuous and continual devaluation of a currency since 1986? That’s a story for another day, but right now, I am looking at the situation of the vehicular ownership of Nigerians, who have been forced to drive nothing but what foreigners deigned to leave over for Africa.

In the Nigerian world of Tokunbo Toyota, 2001 – 2009 Corolla and Camri and Venza and Avensis and Avalon and etc and etc are giving way to the 2010 to 2019 versions. Same thing goes for all other types of vehicles, but this article is looking specifically at the Mercedes brand, specifically, the C300, which is trending right now all over the country.

In the Nigerian world of Tokunbo Mercedes, 2001 – 2009 C-Series and E-Series are giving way to the 2010 to 2019 versions, but the one among the lot that I am in love with right now is the C300, which is trending right now all over the country, very visible on all Nigerian roads, and looking good. That is a clear sign that car dealers have shifted to new school and that the stock of old school is depleted abroad from where they are imported. Just look at the 2015 Mercedes C300 below. It’s looking beautiful, isn’t it?
